On February 1, 2026, the national standard "General Technical Requirements for Desks and Chairs for Primary and Secondary School Students During Lunch Break" will officially come into effect. This standard specifies that chairs must be fully extended to a reclining position with a length of at least 1050 mm, and the backrest must recline at an angle of at least 135 degrees. The difference between the clearance under the desk and the seat height is set with lower limits for each grade level.
