How to set up a tent in the wild

When setting up the tent by hand, choose a relatively flat location and place the entrance downwind. Clear away any stones or branches from the ground promptly. Place the inner tent on the ground, take out the folded tent poles, straighten them section by section, and connect them into a single long pole. Following the instructions, thread the poles into the pole sleeves on the tent, usually using a cross-thread method. After threading both poles, insert one end of each pole into the small holes at the corners of the tent. Two people should work together, each holding one end and pushing the pole inwards to inflate the tent. Continue until the other ends are inserted into the holes. Once inserted, the tent is essentially complete. Next, set up the outer tent. Place the inner tent inside the open outer tent. It's important that the doors of the inner and outer tents match; otherwise, you won't be able to get in after setting it up.

Hook the four corners of the inner tent to match the four corners of the outer tent. Some tents also have the four corners of the outer tent nailed to the four corners of the inner tent with tent pegs. Check if there are any hooks on the outer tent to nail pegs in. Make sure the outer tent is also bulging and has some distance between it and the inner tent. There are some ropes on the tent for reinforcement; it's best to use them if you're planning to camp overnight in a place with little cover. Also, different types of tent pegs should be used for different camping locations such as sand and grass. The pegs should be driven in at a 45-degree angle to the opposite direction of the tent, and it's best to use a small hammer to drive them in for a more secure hold.

Currently, most automatic tents use either spring-loaded or hydraulic technology. Hydraulic tents are more expensive than spring-loaded tents, but the technology is slightly more advanced. Also, replacing the springs in a spring-loaded tent can easily cause injury. The fully automatic hydraulic spring-loaded frame can be used to unfold the tent from the ground and then lifted up to automatically set it up. The setup process is relatively simple and can be completed by one person. The four legs open with springs, and the tent is basically formed with a simple lift.
