Outdoor tents can be categorized in several ways based on their season of use, number of occupants, structural design, and setup method.

1. By purpose: Recreational tents, camping tents, mountaineering tents, advertising tents, engineering tents, disaster relief tents.

2. By season of use: Summer tents, three-season tents, four-season tents. Summer tents offer good ventilation; three-season tents are suitable for spring, summer, and autumn, providing wind and rain protection; four-season tents are suitable year-round and in harsh environments, featuring a sturdy structure and heavier weight. Mountaineering tents are a special type of four-season tent designed for high-altitude environments, emphasizing windproofing, waterproofing, insulation, and durability.

3. By number of occupants: Single tents, two-person tents, three-person tents, multi-person tents (four or more people, such as base camp tents). The main dimensional parameters affecting capacity (length, width, height) can be referenced from common specifications: Single tent approximately 210x90x110 cm, two-person tent approximately 210x140x110 cm, three-person tent approximately 210x180x115 cm.

4. By structure and style, tents are categorized as follows: Quick-setup tents (rapid setup, suitable for light leisure); Pyramid tents (single-pole support, strong wind resistance); Yurt tents (spacious, suitable for multiple people overnight); Tunnel tents (clearly divided, spacious, excellent wind resistance); Spherical tents (extremely stable, suitable for harsh environments); Spring tents (open space, suitable for families); Cotton tents (breathable, requires careful maintenance); Hiking tents (lightweight, high-performance).

5. By setup method, tents are categorized as follows: Automatic tents (including spring and hydraulic types, quick and easy to set up, suitable for beginners) and manually set up tents (requires manual assembly of tent poles, guy lines, and ground stakes; high stability, suitable for experienced users).
